About

When it comes to surviving, we all have room for improvement.

WHO

My name is Andre Quiles. I started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at a very young age with the Gracie Family in Brazil.
Later, at 11 years old, I started my Muay Thai journey at the legendary Chute Boxe Academy. There, I learned the proven best striking system in the MMA industry, and I shared the mats with some of the best MMA fighters in history.
A few years later, I began teaching full-time Jiu-Jitsu/MMA in parallel to my pro-fighter career. I became a Multiple times São Paulo State Champion, Brazilian National Champion, and World Champion, among other titles. I also fought the old school Vale Tudo (No Rules Bared Fights); I won all my fights by submission or KO.

WHY

Organize better tactics and perform legally to put bad people in jail.

I always had a call for Law Enforcement work.
I started teaching cops 30 years before I became a Deputy myself. Likewise, I’m a BJJ and firearms fanatic, and I always added the weapon entanglement element in the Jiu-Jitsu for cops because I saw that this was a very weak link, especially in the police grappling training.

HOW

I created the PROTECT, RETAIN, CONTROL, DISARM, AND RESTRAIN SYSTEM, later known as CPR (Control, Protect, and Restrain).

Many techniques based on BJJ Self-Defense and WEAPON-BASED ENTANGLEMENTS can make it easy for an untrained officer.

WEAPON RETENTION.COM was derived because I saw the broken training model and below-standard trainers in law enforcement.

Combative training based on real-world experience, Jiu-Jitsu, case law, pressure testing, consistent training, and researched data is needed. Other organizations offered defense tactics training, but none from instructors with law enforcement credentials, world-class backgrounds, and the ability to integrate weapons into Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai fundamentals. I am also the co-founder of Chute Boxe Academy Arizona-USA, an absolute world-class MMA, BJJ, and Muay Thai facility, and 90% of our students are LEO or Military.

Protect, Retain, Control, Disarm, Submit, and Restrain.
Protect. Avoid strikes and stabs.
Retain. Keep your weapon.
Control. Gain control.
Disarm. Be able to disarm a suspect.
Submit. Gain voluntary compliance.
Restrain—cuffing techniques.

Learning how to protect yourself is a skill that every cop should master.

Moral and confidence increased, and there were fewer suspects and cops in the hospital and fewer officers in the courtroom.

We have to fight for our lives in unfair situations. The bad guys don’t follow policy and are not worried about lawsuits.

Everyone has a camera, and few are willing to help the officer in a bad situation.

I offer an affordable and effective change, and I invite you to become part of our change.

THE TRUTH IS THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR EXCUSES. NOBODY PITIES YOU FOR PROCRASTINATING, AND NOBODY IS GOING TO CODDLE YOU BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T ACCOMPLISH YOUR GOALS. IT’S ON YOU. NO EXCUSES! YOU ARE EITHER READY OR YOU DON’T.
